It is known that upcoming Bollywood film 'Indu Sarkar' is made in the backdrop of Emergency imposed on India by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Madhur Bhandarkar is trying to bring 1975-77 Emergency period on to the silver screen. The trailer of this film has received four million views till now. There are high expectations on this film among the audience.
As Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi characters going to be crucial in the film, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has raised objections over this film. He is alleging that Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi characters may be portrayed in an insulting way in this film. So, he has written a letter to Censor Board chairman Pahlaj Nihlani asking him to arrange a screening for them before censoring the film.
Director Mathur Bhandarkar responded on Sanjay Nirupam letter. He said that they will not arrange screening for anybody before the censor.. he opined that this kind of controversies are common before the release of a film.
