Controversial Films Of 2019!

Update: 2019-12-27 17:10 GMT
Telugu Films have been slightly away from reality and away from controversies too. People still talk about how Malapillla controversy from 1930's and Bhanumathi's wardrobe from her early film in 1940's made filmmakers not touch several controversial subjects.

Even K.S.Prakash Rao kind of directors decided to keep their stories simple after starting with films that talked about social issues. But these days, controversies have become a part and parcel of film Industry.

You can see someone somewhere being highly upset about some bad practices or some kind of stuff that is an "open secret". 2018 saw lady actors trying to bring sex scandals, "commitment" clauses out in the open and that made someone like Sri Reddy, a big celebrity as well.

Now, let's talk about 2019. The year clearly belongs to Ram Gopal Varma. He started the year with Lakshmi's NTR controversy and ended with Mega Family, Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu controversies.

Mega Family ended like storm in a tea cup but Mega fans were deeply hurt by the film announcement by RGV. But he shocked them with his punches on Pawan Kalyan in Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu whose name had to be changed from Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu.

While the humour was highly condemned, he raked in good money by making the movie in cheapest possible budget. He said it was a political satire and he has rights to say what he likes to say. People rejected the film but it made headlines for many months.

RGV started off the year with counter to NTR biopic by Balakrishna and made his own biopic, Lakshmi's NTR. The movie was attacked by politicians and RGV was banned to even enter Vijayawada city. The movie made lot of noise in media but not in theatres.

While RGV wanted to make such controversies, Gaddalakonda Ganesh team was genuinely shocked to see a community fighting against title like Valmiki. They thought the movie title as a metaphor to their story but a community filed court case on the team and as they seemed adamant, movie director, Harish Shankar agreed to change the title.

Well, MAA elections and elected body again became controversial. Even though no one really cares about the association except few artists, who really need their help, famous actors make it a contest every time, before an election.

Naresh panel won over Shivaji Raja panel by alleging malpractices but within themselves, they started fighting as Rajashekar and Jeevitha wanted to check mate Naresh's aggression in implementing several schemes and have their last word, on them.

Megastar Chiranjeevi might be solving this issue soon but the association shouldn't have been so affected by silly politics!
