A plagiarism case has been filed against 'Drushyam' which was smash hit Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and even the Tamil version starring Kamal Haasan will release soon. The complaint was lodged by the director of 'Finger Print' Satish Paul. Much to the relief of Director Jeethu Joseph who directed the Malayalam version (original), A court in Kochi has dismissed the case.
Jeethu Joseph was accused of taking inspiration from the story of a book which released in 2013 to make 'Drushyam'. However, The Kochi Court struck down the case as Mr. Joseph proved it court that he have e-mails with the copies of 'Drushyam' script in 2011.
After receiving a favourable verdict, Jeethu Joseph is planning to file a defamation suit against the complainant for tarnishing his image with allegation of plagiarism.
In fact, Jeethu Joseph is also the director of 'Drushyam' Tamil version titled as 'Papanasham'.
