Court warns Kangana that warrant will be issued if she won't appear for hearing!
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut faced a big blow after a magistrate court in Mumbai gave an ultimatum to her saying that a bailable warrant will be issued if she fails to be present before the court.
The Magistrate Court made the harsh comments reacting to the defamation case that was filed against her by celebrated lyricist Javed Akhtar.
The Court heard the petition of Javed Akhtar today and made these comments. During the arguments, the advocate who represented Kangana Ranaut requested the court that she cannot make it to the hearing as she is out of the country.
However, Javed Akhtar's Counsel Jay Bharadwaj made his argument that she cannot be given such provisions as Kangana Ranaut did not appear for any hearings.
Metropolitan Magistrate RR Khan ruled out saying that Kangana Ranaut is free from appearing in today's hearing and she should be present at the next date.
If she fails to do so, a bailable warrant will be issued against her, the Magistrate said.
The veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar knocked on the doors of the Magistrate Court against Kangana Ranaut's comments on him in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
Talking to a media channel, Kangana Ranaut is said to have termed Javed Akhtar, a part of the suicide gang in Bollywood.
Javed Akhtar had moved the Bombay High Court on Monday with a plea against Kangana Ranaut. In the petition, he alleged that to get orders from the court that are in favour of her, Kangana Ranaut is not disclosing the facts.
However, the High Court said it cannot entertain such a plea and told Javed Akhtar that he has no right to intervene in Kangana Ranaut's passport renewal row as he is not an informant in the case.
Reacting to the development, Kangana Ranaut had thanked the Bombay High court and shared her happiness of Javed Akhtar's petition getting rejected.
On the work front, Kangana is awaiting the release of Thalaivi, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. She is also a part of action thriller Dhaakad. Kangana Ranaut is also in plans of entering the OTT arena soon.
