"Every year Telugu film industry is losing 350 crores income", says producer Suresh Babu, who has met Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao today. In the capacity of Film Chamber president, today Suresh and a delegation from Tollywood submitted a memorandum to the minister.
"Due to piracy and the sharing of a pirated movie on nearly 240 websites, Tollywood is losing nearly 350 crores income. If government could take action on all these websites, then piracy could be controlled", said Suresh, in the memorandum.
Acting on it, IT Minister KTR assured that a special Police cell will be created to take care of piracy and pledged to take actions on all those websites in a month's span.
