Special Court says no Deepika's Ex Manager's anticipatory bail!

In order to avoid getting arrest, Bollywood star heroine Deepika Padukone's former Manager Karishma Peakash has moved a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) court to seek an anticipatory bail. However, the court refused.

She moved the court in connection with the drug abuse case related to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's case.

The bail petition was filed in October 2020. The counsels representing Karishma Prakash and NCB had presented their arguments before the court.

Refusing to issue anticipatory bail, the special court stayed it's order in this regard. As a big relief, Karishma was permitted to move the Bombay High Court.

After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput raised several questions, the CBI and NCB stepped in to dig deeper into the case. Both the agencies are carrying out their respective probes.

The NCB is specifically focusing on the alleged drug abuse in the industry. Earlier last year, a few celebrities from Bollywood were grilled by the officials as part of their probe.

Talking about Karishma Prakash, she used to work with Kwan Talent Management Agency Private Limited. It is said that she worked with Rhea Chakraborty's manager Jaya Shah.
