Dil Raju Falls In His Own Trap!

Update: 2022-11-02 13:19 GMT
It looks like star producer Dil Raju has landed himself in trouble due to what he said a few months back. The 'DJ' producer once said that it is not right to release a dubbing film when 2-3 big Telugu films are releasing during the festive season. This statement from him has come back to bite him now.

Chiranjeevi's 'Waltair Veerayya', Balakrishna's 'Veera Simha Reddy' and 'Agent' starring Akhil Akkineni have announced that they will be arriving during the Sankranti season. But Dil Raju's maiden Tamil movie 'Varasudu' which is being directed by Vamsi Paidipally has also announced that it will be coming out during the Sankranti season. Starring Vijay in the lead role, this is one of the most-awaited projects in the South.

He cannot claim 'Varasudu' as a bilingual since Raju himself claimed that it is a straight Tamil film when asked by the Guild members during their strike in July and August. Though no one came out publicly, a lot of producers are talking about it in private as per reports and there are reports that Anil Sunkara who is producing 'Akhil' wants to put it forward during the Producers' Guild meeting.

With 'Adipurush' getting postponed, the team of 'Agent' though that it would be a good time for 'Agent' to come out. If 'Varasudu' doesn't get released, all three movies of Chiru, Balayya and Akhil will have enough theatres to prosper at the box office. January 11th, 12th and 14th are the expected release dates for these movies and the arrival of 'Varasudu' will affect the collections of these three Telugu projects.

It is to be seen whether the Guild stays strong and holds its ground or bends its rules for Dil Raju who is a very influential person.
