Ace producer Dil Raju is known for his array of films that have struck a chord at box office. But recently he got hands burnt as some big ticket entertainers produced by his Sri Venkateswara Films bombed at box office. Unable to withstand the financial pressure being mounted by this heavy loss, Raju is now tilted towards making small movies with medium range heroes and scoring big hits.
Supposedly, remake of Malayalam hit Bangalore Days was supposed to kick start mid-December with the likes of Naga Chaitanya, Nani and Samantha playing the leads. It seems like the film is not going on floors for the now as Raju has opted out from producing this film along with another partner PVP Pictures. Dil Raju wants the film on a low-budget production with new comers, but PVP likes to spend lavishly with all big-stars on board. As clashes erupted over this project-costing, Raju has walked away, say industry members.
