Tamil Director-cum-Producer Cheran made some shocking allegations on Hero Sharwanand for not co-operating with the promotional campaign of his long-delayed project 'Rajadhi Raja' which released last week. He accused Sharwanand and Producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore of resorting to bad propaganda against the project.
Cheran claimed he signed Sharwanand for 'Rajadhi Raja' when he don't have any hits to his credit. He even paid Sharwa Rs 55 lakh out of the Rs 1 crore remuneration. Inspite of not receiving the balance amount, The 'Express Raja' Actor neither graced the audio launch nor came forward to promote it. 'Even Today, I say Sharwanand is a good actor. But, Is this the kind of respect he gives to a Producer who invested crores trusting him. Such kind of acts will only hurt his reputation and stature,' he cautioned.
Even though Sravanthi Ravi Kishore was the Producer of 'Rajadhi Raja', He walked out of the project after Cheran refused to allow him to cut the Trailer the way he wanted it to be. The shoot was stalled for an year following this development. Cheran took up production to wrap up the shoot and Producer Venkatesh came forward to release the movie in Telugu. When Nithya Menon was asked to turn up for promotions, She agreed to promote only if Sharwanand promotes it. 'Did Hero cast Nithya as Heroine or Producer,' asks Cheran.
Cheran admits Sharwanand supported him when his Daughter landed in a love affair issue. But, The Filmmaker feels Sharwa has changed in the recent past.
On a finishing note, Cheran declares 'Rajadhi Raja' would have been a huge success had if Hero & Heroine turned up for promotions. He, however, is content with the appreciation calls from Industry Folks.
