Director Murugadoss Applies For Police Protection!

Update: 2020-02-06 07:27 GMT
Director AR Murugadoss moved to Madras High Court for police protection from the distributors threatening him to give their money back.

Apparently, Tamil Nadu Distributors who lost money due to Darbar, the Pongal release of Rajnikanth and AR Murugadoss are upset with the film business, it seems.

They have reportedly lost close to 10 crores and they have started a campaign to save them from heavy losses, says reports.

Some are planning to go on roads to protest and get money back from Lyca Productions, Rajnikanth. Few resorted to asking and even threatening Murugadoss for money recovery, it seems.

Rajni fans are saying that these are DMK sponsored political fights to tarnish the image of Rajni in people as he made remarks against Periyar and is also siding BJP, in CAA and NPR issues.

In any case, no director after Mani Ratnam had to ask for police protection. In Mani Ratnam's case, Muslim organisations issued Fatwas against him for making Bombay on religious sentiments. Later, they apologised.

Now, we are witnessing AR Murugadoss asking protection, interestingly, KS Ravikumar or Pa. Ranjith did not say that they got threats for making Lingaa, Kabali and Kaala, which are bonafide disasters of the Superstar.
