Did Mahesh Commit A Mistake?

Update: 2018-02-24 10:22 GMT
Mahesh Babu is known for his sentiments and whenever, he had to compromise on them or over trusted them, he had to be at the receiving end.

The actor's films released in May month, did not become successes and the actor team, believes that it is an unlucky month for the actor. His Industry Hit, Pokiri released in April, and whenever his films are planned for Summer season, his fans and team, fight to confirm, April date.

Well, by trying to secure an April date, did he and his producers, lost the major battle to others? This is the question that many are wondering about in trade circles.

The actor started the film, Bharath Ane Nenu, hoping to be able to release it for Sankranthi. The movie started out very late, due to Spyder postponements and hence, it got pushed to Summer.

Once, it is confirmed for Summer, the main goal of the team was to avoid May and hence, they announced 27th April release. Even though it was first announced by Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya producers, Bharath Ane Nenu, team also tried to secure that date.

Finally, both parties came to an agreement and announced that BAN will release on 20th April and NPS, on 4th May.

Even though Bharath Ane Nenu, doesn't have opposition prior to release, after release, it has to face films like Rajnikanth's Kaala on 27th and NPS on 4th May.

As NPS, is coming in 3rd weekend, the effect might be very less, but if the movie gets a hit talk, Kaala will show bigger effect in the second weekend and it won't be left with much choice for recovery in third weekend too. By that time, with huge piracy threat and surge in social media discussions, the interest to watch the movie at theatres might die down.

So, many are wondering, did Mahesh commit a mistake by giving importance to sentiment?
