Before Friday, the weekend looked very promising for movie lovers. With 'Radhe Shyam' mania taking over the entire theatres, people who didn't dare to walk into the theatres due to the heavy rush looked towards the OTT platforms. A lot of films were made available this weekend but not one of them managed to impress the audience.
The big release was truly Dhanush's Tamil film 'Maaran' directed by Karthik Naren. Malavika Mohanan is the heroine and it arrived on Disney + Hotstar with decent expectations. But they failed to impress anyone. It got a disastrous talk and even Dhanush's fans weren't able to watch his bland and spineless film.
'Rowdy Boys' which ended as a commercial failure during the time of Sankranti was made available on ZEE5. Produced by Dil Raju, Madhie was the cinematographer while DSP gave the music. The film didn't manage to get good reception from the OTT audience. The same is the case with Ravi Teja's 'Khiladi' which was a failure at the box office. This film which was high on glamour quotient fell short on the content front. It is available on Disney + Hotstar.
Aadhi Pinisetty's 'Clap' which came out in SonyLIV did not get positive talk too. All the OTT lovers are left with Hollywood and Bollywood series which will certainly cater to a few.
