Distance between YS Jagan and Anil Yadav: What's cooking?

Politicians and lovers keep physical distance when they are fighting with one another. The physical distance and the body language tells the whole take of their estrangement. So for those who watched the physical distance between Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and AP irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav, it was clear that there was something amiss.

On Tuesday, YS Jagan inspected the Polavaram works along with several ministers, key officials and others. Among them was irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav. Anil Kumar is known as a diehard supporter and an ardent fan of YS Jagan. He never lets go of an opportunity to defend YS Jagan and his policies. He is very vocal in slamming YS Jagan's detractors.

But on Tuesday, Jagan kept quite a distance from Anil Kumar Yadav. He was seen speaking to other ministers and was seen discussing with the irrigation officials. But, Anil Kumar Yadav was not even on the margin of the picture. He was several steps behind, walking alone. His body language too suggested that all was not well with Anil Kumar. In fact, with the irrigation minister around, Jagan should have been talking to him. But, both did not seem to be comfortable with one another.

All these, according to political pundits, are signs that Anil Kumar Yadav may be dropped from Jagan's council of ministers. Sources said that Jagan was not happy with the way Anil Kumar Yadav responded to the Krishna water dispute with Telangana. While the Telangana ministers were at their belligerent best, Yadav was seen as meek and submissive. Jagan apparently did not like this and this may perhaps reflect in the reshuffle of his ministry soon.
