Distributors blame Nag for Wrong Timing

Update: 2017-02-17 08:20 GMT
'Om Namo Venkatesaya', the devotional flick based on the life of Hathi Ram Baba, is heading towards a Disaster status. While the asking is mammoth (Rs 36 crore share), First Weekend revenue is just around Rs 7 crore. There were no signs of recovery even during weekdays and all the Distributors are going to incur huge losses.

In Overseas (Great India), 'ONV' is a complete washout. Dil Raju who acquired the Nizam rights for Rs 9 crore will have to bear a loss of Rs 5 crore if situation doesn't improve.

B Satish of Gayatri Devi distribution house acquired Uttar Andhra rights for Rs 2.87 crore. The response was poor even though the mouth talk in pretty good. Satish blames the timing of the release for disappointing revenues. He believes 'ONV' should have done well had if it's been released during Festival Period or Summer Season instead of during examinations.

Producer Mahesh Reddy's previous flick 'Shirdi Sai' was also a commercial failure. But, the losses weren't as huge as that of 'Om Namo Venkatesaya'.
