It is quite common for the celebrities to have personal bodyguards with them all the time as there will be a huge mob whenever they come out in public. It is a necessity for superstars to have their own bodyguards which helps them in being safe. Out of all the celebrity bodyguards, the one person who is a celebrity in himself is Gurumeet Singh Jolly aka Shera who has been Salman Khan’s shadow from the past 27 years.

He was MR Mumbai back in 1987 and was part of the security detail for stars like Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, Jackie Chan, Justin Bieber and others during their visit to India. Speaking about his association with Salman Khan, Shera said, "We first met when I was handling security for Whigfield's show. She's a Hollywood singer, she'd come down. I met Salman again when Keanu Reeves, the Hollywood hero, had come to India. Speed had released and Matrix was about to release. I did my first show with Salman in Chandigarh, and we've been together ever since."

Apparently, Shera earns a salary of 15 lakhs per month which is almost 2 crores per annum. It is safe to say that not many CEOs of tech companies get make much of money. Shera is a celebrity in himself who enjoys a following of over 400,000 on Instagram.

He respects Salman Khan a lot and said, "Maalik means master and Salman Maalik is everything to me. I will lay down my life for him. He is my god.Jab tak zinda hoon, bhai ke saath rahunga (As long as am alive, I will be with Bhai). I always tell people that they will never see me standing behind or next to bhai. I will be standing in front of him, looking out for any threat."

Salman Khan dedicated his film ‘Bodyguard’ to Shera and has even taken the responsibility of launching Shera’s son Tiger as a hero in Hindi cinema. The youngster has worked as an assistant director for Salman's hit film 'Sultan' which came out in 2016. Talking about his launch, Salman Khan himself stated, "Shera's son Tiger is being groomed right now and he’s already being considered by so many producers and directors. Shera feels I will be the best judge of a script for his son, so I am now sifting through scripts. I am yet to find something worthy."
