Does Our Directors Have Such Calibre?

Oscar Award is considered as the highest honour by Actors, Technicians, Filmmakers and Producers across the World. Indian Film Celebs weren't able to bag the top honour for various reasons. The standards set by either Hollywood or World Cinema is way too high. Indian Actors & Technicians aren't able to reach such a level mostly due to playing to the gallery or trying to please the target audience. Even Today, Most of the Indian films consists of 6 songs, 3 fights & the same old story.

Baahubali Franchise gave some hope for the Indians. However, The Epic War Drama couldn't qualify for Oscar Nominations because it's far away from reality and also consists of commercial elements such as songs.

Indian Movie was nominated to Oscars for the first time in the year 1960. Thereafter, Few films managed to receive honours in the Foreign Film Category. But, Does our Directors have the calibre to bag the Oscar Best Film Award?

Indian Cinema is more into a commercial zone rather than artistic zone. Star Heroes aren't even experimenting fearing flops & mostly prefers safest bet. Some of the Film Personalities even question what is so great about Oscars.

Films like 'Kanche', 'Ghaji' & 'Goodachari' gave the hope that Tollywood is heading in the right direction. Of course, Reaching greater heights won't happen overnight…it's a time taking process. Hopefully, The Young Blood will make Indians proud one day!
