Double Trouble For Varun Tej's 'Ghani'!

Update: 2021-04-14 07:14 GMT
With the talk of the government allowing only 50% occupancy in theatres going around, a lot of big films are moving back and postponing their releases. But 'Radhe Shyam' which is coming on 30th July is not showing any signs of backing out. Since there is a long time for its release, they are hoping that things would return back to normalcy.

On the other hand, Varun Tej's 'Ghani' is also arriving on the same day. If 'Radhe Shyam' does back out, Varun Tej's film has no option but to delay its release. If this happens, Varun may avoid competition with Prabhas but he may end up competing with himself. His 'F3' is planning to release during the second half of 2021. Though the official date is not out yet, there may be chances of 'Ghani' and 'F3' having a clash if one of these films won't move away.

Also, 'Ghani' is a sports drama and Varun will be seen as a boxer. It has been very long since we have seen a boxing film in Tollywood. Though 'Guru' deals with it, Venky was seen as a coach. The last time any hero played the role of a boxer was in Ravi Teja & Puri Jagannadh's 'Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi'. Interestingly, Vijay Devarakonda's 'Liger' is also reportedly an action film and Vijay will be seen as a boxer as the posters suggest. Seems like 'Ghani' may face tough competition.
