Cine pundits usually say that there are two good seasons in Tollywood that can provide space for as many releases as possible and yet bring good profits for makers. The first one is Sankranti while the other is the summer season.
This year's Sankranti season was tremendous with films like 'Darbar', 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' and 'Entha Manchivaadavura' releasing and bringing good profits.
Now the focus has been shifted to the summer season. In 2018, the summer season was filled with some crazy films like 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Mahanati' and 'Rangasthalam'. Last year too, this season was filled with interesting films like 'Majili', 'Jersey' and Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi'.
This summer is going to be completely dull as none of the big stars except Pawan Kalyan are willing to come during this time. Ram Charan and NTR are busy with 'RRR' while Mahesh and Bunny just arrived during January. Prabhas may not release his film till next year. So, only Pawan Kalyan is gearing up not come in May with his most-awaited 'Vakeel Saab'.
Though a couple of medium-range films are releasing in April, one can say that it is going to a very dry summer season for movie buffs this time.
