Lakshmi's NTR Issue: EC Takes Action On AP Official!

Update: 2019-05-14 08:30 GMT
Election Commission of India responded seriously over the failure of Kadapa District Joint Collector in stopping the screening of 'Lakshmi's NTR' earlier this month. After AP Chief Electoral Officer Gopalakrishna Dwivedi brought the violation to its notice, The Poll Body transferred Joint Collector Koteshwar Rao and freed him from election duty.

'Lakshmi's NTR' was screened in three theatres in Kadapa on May 1st. This comes under violation as the Election Commission passed an order preventing the release of the controversial flick until the 7th phase of Lok Sabha Polls on May 19th. Whereas, Managements of the Three Theatres had gone against the order and screened the movie. Even the Local Authorities hasn't taken stringent action inspite of the violation of Model Code of Conduct. Only after the strong reaction of CEO Dwivedi, Those Theatres were seized by the Authorities.

Will 'Lakshmi's NTR' release after the announcement of elections results? What if TDP retains power in AP? Makers would hope to see YSR Congress Party form the government for a smooth release.
