Heroine Says- It Is A False Opinion

Update: 2017-08-04 08:44 GMT

We all know that there are very few Telugu heroines in our Tollywood.  Let us keep aside the reasons for the less number.  But they are getting offers in small budget films these days.  It is known that Eesha Rebba is the heroine of 'Darshakudu', the second production venture of Sukumar.  She is a Telugu girl.  She has done films like 'Antaku Mundu Aa Tarvata'.. 'Bandipotu'.. 'Mayamaal'.  She has achieved good recognition with 'Ami Thumi'.

She was asked an interesting question in a recent interview.. "Telugu girls usually don't prefer to become heroines. How did you get the thought of becoming a heroine? How did you get the first movie offer?".. she answered that "Why do you think like that? Our Telugu girls can also act well. It's just that they should get the right opportunities and good stories.  I like movies from my student days.  I never thought of becoming a heroine. But Indraganti Mohanakrishna garu watched my photograph on Facebook and gave me an offer in 'Anataku Mundu Aa Tarvata'. I missed Dil Raju banner offer sometime later.  My career would have been bright if I could have acted in that".

While speaking about 'Darshakudu', she said that "I've got a very good role in 'Darshakudu'. I have essayed the role of Namrata, a fashion designer.  Namrata role has all the emotions.  The dialogues are good in the film.  I'm not good at dance but somehow I managed it".  She added that "There is a false opinion prevalent among the audience and film industry that Telugu girls will not do glamorous roles.. that's the reason why Telugu girls don't get movie offers. But the present generation Telugu heroines have good acting skills and they are beautiful. We can do glamorous roles as well. We can prove our talent if we get good opportunities."
