It is all but confirmed that Nithiin's Maestro will be premiering directly on Disney+ Hotstar. It is said that the top OTT platform paid Rs 35 crores for the direct to digital rights of the film. Apparently, the deal has been sealed already and the film is gearing up for premieres on Hotstar.
However, both Disney+ Hotstar and the makers of Maestro are neglecting the film now. For some odd reason, neither Hotstar nor the makers of Maestro have made an announcement regarding the mode of the film's release.
Barring an occasional update and that too regarding the songs from the film's audio album, no major promotional material is being released by the movie unit. Even Hotstar, who shelled out big bucks for the film's digital release are neglecting it.
With no one showing any interest in promoting Maestro, the already low buzz on the film is evaporating at an alarming rate. If there is no consolidated update on the project in the near future, it can take a serious toll on the pre-release buzz surrounding the film.
Maestro is a remake of Andhadhun and it features Nithiin, Nabha Natesh and Tamannaah in the lead roles.
