Senior director and Telugu Cinema's original creative director, Vamsy decided to make a comeback after years, with his movie, Fashion Designer, a sequel to his movie, Ladies Tailor. After W/O Varaprasad, Vamsy took a long break of six years nursing his ill-health and the director came back strongly with Ravi Teja's Avunu Vallidharu Ishtapaddaru.

With the movie, Krishna Bhagavan and Jeeva, turned comedians with negative shades. Krishna Bhagavan, in particular became a busy comedian after a long struggle. With the movie, a stage actor, Kondavalasa Lakshman Rao, also became popular with the line, "Aithe, Okayy!" As he created such sensation, every film lover thought Vamsy who created comic capers like April 1st Vidudala is back to form. But after the movie, Vamsy tried many concepts but none of them turned to be a hit and the director appeared to have completely lost it, with his last film, Vennello Hai Hai. With such a bad track record, Vamsy looked completely down and out for the course and even budding actors like Raj Tharun did not show interest in doing a movie with the director.

Still, he got a producer to complete the movie and release it as well. Madhura Sreedhar, the man mostly known for making films in low budget and promoting them to such extent that they do not end up being losses. His films like Back Bench student, did not become hits but did not end up as losses too. Using this brilliant marketing techniques, the producer is able to turn eyeballs towards his Fashion Designer but can the movie become a hit? As Vamsy said this could be his last film, can he bow out by hitting the target one last time?
