Finally THIS film ends 1009-week-long run

Who will forget the epic love story between Raj and SImran . Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" movie creates great impact on Indian cinema and it was the mother of all love stories.

Released in 1995 the film was declared an "All-time Blockbuster" and became the biggest Bollywood hit of the year, as well as one of the biggest Bollywood hits ever. The film won 10 Filmfare Awards and won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment

Now the film ends its 1009-week-long run at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai, on Thursday. Mumbai's iconic Maratha Mandir has been famed for running DDLJ  since its release in 1995 for almost two decades now.

Now the theatre management decides to stop screening the show. "After playing for 1009 uninterrupted weeks, the unprecedented performance of #DDLJ omes to an end at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai today," film trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed on Twitter.

During his visit to India, US President Barack Obama in his speech at the Sirifort Auditorium quoted a line from the film, "Senorita..bade bade desho mein" to an applause by the pleasantly surprised audience
