First Look: Sumanth's Stern Look As Brigadier Vishnu Sharma!

Handsome hero Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film 'Sita Ramam' directed by Hanu Raghavapudi is creating a lot of buzz with its feel-good posters and videos. Dulquer plays the role of Lieutenant Ram while Mrunal Thakur will be seen as his love interest Sita. As we know, Rashmika Mandanna is playing a special character named Afreen in this intense romantic drama with a war backdrop. Ashwini Dutt is bankrolling this project under Swapna Cinema banner while it is presented by Vijayanthi Movies.

The teaser got a great response and two songs which came out till date were well received by the audience. Now, the team has introduced us to a new character from the film. Hero Sumanth who is known for his hit movies like 'Godavari', 'Satyam' and others will be seen playing the role of Brigadier Vishnu Sharma. His makeover is quite astonishing. This hero from the Akkineni clan was mostly seen in classy roles but he is looking quite intense with a stern look on his face.

He is sporting a handlebar mustache and the military look suited him quite well. In the glimpse, he is seen uttering some meaningful dialogues on the phone. He says, "Konni Yuddhalu Modalu Pettadam Mathrame Mana Chethullo Untundi… Mugimpu Kaadu… This is Brigadier Vishnu Sharma… Madras Regiment…" The film is set in the backdrop of 1965 and Hanu Raghavapudi managed to bring a poetic feel already through the promotional content.

'Sita Ramam' will be released worldwide on 5th August in theatres. The movie will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The film features a big list of noted actors like Gautam Menon, Prakash Raj, Tharun Bhascker, Shatru, Bhoomika Chawla, Rukmini Vijay Kumar, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and many more apart from the lead actors. PS Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna were the directors of photography while Vishal Chandrasekhar is the music composer. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor while Vaishnavi Teddy and Faisal Ali Khan are the art directors.
