Fixed Package System for Tollywood Stars

Update: 2014-10-08 11:20 GMT
AP Film Chamber of Commenrce (APFCC) has decided to introduce a Fixed Package System for Tollywood Stars who have been charging over Rs 1 crore remuneration per film. As per this new system, Heroes, Directors and Actresses will be receiving only a part of their pay package as fixed remuneration prior to the release. The remaining amount would be handed over to them only when the film turns successful. In case if the film bombed at the Box Office, Producers, Distributors and Exhibitors would use this amount to cover up their losses to some extent.

In Bollywood, Aamir Khan was the first actor to adopt a similar method and it happened with 'Ghajini' produced by Allu Aravind. Instead of pocketing huge remuneration prior to the release, Star Heroes have to rely on sharing profits post the release.

Already, Distributors and Exhibitors have held two meeting to discuss the issue. The new rules of Film Chamber might come into effect any time soon.

How would Tollywood stars react to the 'Fixed Package System'? Will it be approved by them unanimously? Let's see!
