It is known that creative filmmaker Sukumar was recently diagnosed with dengue fever. Subsequently, he was advised complete bed rest by the medical team attending him. So, the star director had to take a break from his ongoing project, Pushpa which is in the final leg of shoot. This resulted in an indefinite postponement of Pushpa shoot.
The latest news is that Pushpa is well and truly back on track. Sukumar has fully recovered from dengue and he is back to full fitness now. In fact, he is back to work as he has resumed Pushpa shoot earlier today in Hyderabad. The unit is currently filming a crucial sequence at a specially assembled set in Hyderabad and Allu Arjun is taking part in the same.
Both Sukumar and Allu Arjun are determined to ensure that there are no further delays in Pushpa shoot henceforth. They are well aware of the fact that there have been a bit too many layoffs already and they wish to get things done at a rapid pace now. There won't be any major breaks or layoffs in Pushpa shoot from now on. The makers plan to wrap up the shooting part at the earliest in order to take an affirmative decision on the release date.
There is still a fair bit of shooting left to be done and the unit might have to be in action for a month and a half or so. The other lead actors, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil will also be joining the sets in the next few days. They will be accompanying Allu Arjun and shoot for their combination scenes with the Allu hero.
A few days ago, there were reports that the makers of Pushpa had approached Sunny Leone for an item song in Pushpa. It is yet to be determined if she has come on board for the project or not. More details in this regard will be out very soon.
Apparently, the makers of Pushpa have decided to release the two parts of Pushpa at least 6 months apart from each other. While the first outing might release by the end of this year, the second instalment might release next summer.
