'God' Becomes The New Success Formula!

Whenever a film becomes highly successful, we often see filmmakers come up with the same kind of concepts. After 'Pokiri' became an industry hit, a lot of movies with similar hero characterization came in Tollywood. Many ran behind the warrior and socio-fantasy films after 'Magadheera'. The entire nation is trying to make pan-Indian films post 'Baahubali'. After 'Rangasthalam', we have seen a lot of movies with a rural backdrop coming in Tollywood.

The new success formula seems to be the 'God'. Movies that revolve around the concept of Hindu gods are ending up being heavily successful at the box office. We have seen how 'Akhanda' ended up being the biggest blockbuster in Balakrishna's career. Balayya is seen as Aghora who worships lord Shiva. 'Karthikeya 2' revolves around Dwaraka and lord Krishna. There are a lot of scenes and dialogues which explain the greatness of the god almighty in the movie. Same is the case with the latest sensation 'Kantara'. Even the Bollywood film 'Brahmastra' is connected with Hindu culture and unseen forces of nature.

There are reports that Kortala Siva's next film with NTR will also have fantasy and divine elements in it. As we know, Koratala's 'Acharya' too is set in the backdrop of a temple in Paadaghattam. Even Boyapati Sreenu's next film with Ram is expected to have a touch of Shiva worship as per reports. Sudheer Babu's next film is going to have action and divine elements in it. It looks like the filmmakers are in no mood to leave this formula till it becomes rotten and boring.
