Here's why RRR and Pushpa's Dubai events are cancelled

Update: 2021-11-24 09:29 GMT
Earlier, it was heard that the makers of RRR and Pushpa: The Rise were planning special pre-release events in Dubai. It was even said that the makers were planning to go big with the events and they allocated massive budgets for the same. But the latest developments suggest that the makers of both RRR and Pushpa have decided to drop the Dubai events plan and there is an understandable reason behind the same. The makers of these two biggies have opted not to go ahead with the plan in the wake of the steep rise in production costs. The Emirates nation is apparently quoting a whopping amount of money for the necessary permissions to hold the event. Adding to that, the travel and accommodation charges will shoot up through the roof.

With the logistical and financial matters in mind, the makers of RRR and Pushpa: The Rise have opted not to hold the said event in Dubai. Instead, they will be holding a series of promotional events in India by touring several parts of the country. As things stand, the Dubai event plans have been called off. As for Pushpa: The Rise, the makers are now concerned about the completion of the shoot. There is still a fair bit of dubbing work left to be completed and also the item song featuring Samantha is left to be shot. With so much happening, it wouldn't be possible to plan and execute a mega event in Dubai. Hence, the decision to back off.

As for RRR, Rajamouli has other plans in mind. He doesn't like the idea of overspending on the Dubai event and in instead, he plans to hold a series of creative promotional events in India. He, along with Ram Charan and Jr NTR will be touring all the major cities across India and promote RRR. This promotional tour will be set in motion after the theatrical trailer of the film is unveiled. The trailer is expected to be out either on the 4th or the 5th of December.  The same will be officially confirmed through a poster or a mini teaser very soon.
