Dashing director Puri Jagannadh's 'Liger' has been in the production for a very long time and it is safe to say that it is the longest time Puri has ever spent on a film.

The 'Pokiri' director is known for his speed and he is the only director to complete a film with Mahesh Babu is 70 days. People are curious to know why 'Liger' took so long. The glimpse got a huge response and this stylish action flick will be hitting the screens on 25th August.

As we know, Puri announced that he will be doing his next film Vijay Deverkonda once again and it is 'Jana Gana Mana'. This is the film which was first announced with Mahesh but it fell into the hands of the 'Arjun Reddy' star now.

The latest we hear is that 'Liger' is about to get wrapped up by the end of this month and the works on 'Jana Gana Mana' will be beginning immediately. Vijay and Puri will reportedly fly abroad for pre-production and production works for their next. The official news is yet to come out.

Coming back to 'Liger', Vijay will be seen as an aggressive boxer who has a no-holds-barred attitude. Sultry Bollywood beauty Ananya Pandey will be seen romancing Vijay in this flick and legendary boxer Mike Tyson is playing a key role.

Vijay will be seen as a mixed martial arts fighter in this movie and he underwent a lot of training. Charmee along with Puri are jointly producing this high-budget film while Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy play crucial roles in 'Liger'.

The cinematography is handled by Vishnu Sarma while Kecha from Thailand has composed the fights. There are high expectations on this movie and fans of Vijay are eagerly waiting for it for the past two years. Karan Johar is presenting this movie in Hindi and it is Vijay's official launch into Bollywood.

Vijay lined up another film with star writer-director Sukumar but it may not begin soon since the latter is busy with the script work of 'Pushpa 2' which is one of the most awaited films in India right now.
