Hero files Rs 50cr defamation suit against newspaper

Malayalam hero  Dileep has filed a defamation case against an English daily for publishing a story recently claiming that Dileep's multiplex DCinemaas has been constructed on encroached land
 
Going into details recently well known media house Times Of India published a report saying that Dileep  was building a multiplex  in Chalakudy and added that it  was an encroached land. It further said that the area where Dileep has ben constructing multiplex originally belonged to the erstwhile Cochin royal family.
 
Dileep who found the report was purely manipulated now approached the court and filed a defamatory case. Asking the newspaper to respond within ten days of the receipt of the notice, the actor said that such reporting is being done by the newspaper to secure itself a place in Kerala’s newspaper market. He filed Rs 50 crore defamation suit against the leading news paper.
 
Dileep is a well known  in Mollywood.He was known for his role in 'Bodyuguard' film under Siddique direction which was later remade in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
