If we speak the truth.. only director has the right to choose hero..heroine.. every other character in a film. But this right is exercised by heroes and producers more than the director. The situation is similar in other film industries as well but it is even more in Telugu.
In a fresh incident, a director said to have planned to cast a particular heroine for his upcoming film. But the hero thought of casting another heroine. As usual, differences cropped up between them over heroine selection. But the hero has more importance, so the producers have approached the heroine who has actually left Tollywood and doing Tamil and Kannada films at present. When she got to know that hero is insisting of casting her.. she acted smart by increasing her fee by 25 lakhs than her regular remuneration.
Producers were shocked to know about the remuneration but they have signed her because they couldn't reject her demand. But new troubles started for them as the director started to crib near the producers that heroine will not suit his film. He can't fight with the hero .. so he is purposefully delaying the schedules. Luckily the producers never hesitate to spend money on the film so the shoot is going on smoothly. But still, there is talk in the film circles that...if the situation goes out of hands, the movie will be stalled. We have to wait and see what will happen with the film.
