How Could Goodachari Be Completed In Such Low Budget?

Update: 2018-08-18 12:43 GMT
Low Budget films normally use one or two cameras opposed to 5 to 6 cameras and also try to achieve complicated shots in small time windows with less manpower.

So, whenever a film shows signs of technical brilliance within such less budget people start appreciating all their efforts.

When we look at the movie, Goodachari, it feels like a film made on 20 crores budget but actually, it was made on Rs. 6 crores as per producers.

How could the team pull it off? Even Akkineni Nagarjuna expressed interest to know how and Shashi Kiran Tikka, the director revealed certain sacrifices the team had to make for their dream to come true.

He said, "We did not have budget to rope in 80 members as our crew, so we worked with 25 to save money.

We asked our art department and other department people to bring in whatever they can to fill the sets.

Adivi Sesh and me used to carry the huge cameras, we needed to different places and every four days, we used to feel tired and sick, because of that.

We used to stay at our homes or service apartments to save costs and asked many actors to bring in their own costumes.

We asked Shobitha to wear her costumes from her wardrobe and we did not have any designers or even lavish sets.

As the manpower is just 25 opposed to 80, it took us more than a year to complete production and post production took even longer as it is either me or Sesh, who is doing all the major works.

We are now happy that all that hardwork as paid off. Majorly, I should thank all my team members who worked on the film for owning the film and I will make sure that all the major team will be back for second part and hopefully, we get bigger budgets to accommodate their needs," concluded the director.
