Update: 2022-07-10 10:00 GMT
Tollywood, one of the biggest industries in the country has given a big inspiration to the other industries that having big ideas can be catered to the whole country. Taking a cue from Tollywood, other southern industries are making big films on a Pan-India scale. Not just southern industries, Tollywood also encouraged Bollywood to make Pan-India films.

Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film Brahmastra is a Pan-India film. The fantasy drama also made many draw comparisons with magnum opus Baahubali due to the stunning visuals and the grandeur scale.

Looks like Tollywood inspired Bollywood yet again and the makers in B-town are believed to have followed the footsteps of Tollywood. Looking at the success tasted by the makers in Tollywood, their counterparts are also implementing the same module.

It is known that OTTs which emerged as the big players during the pandemic are now threatening the theatres as the subscribers are showing interest in watching films on OTTs, due to various reasons like the high ticket prices in theatres and others.

The early release of films in OTTs is also denting the film collections. To counter this, the film producers in Tollywood have come up with an alternative. The Producers Council has urged the OTT platforms to not stream the films before not less than two months of the release.

The experts say that this is a good move and the makers will get benefited from this. This creates a situation for the entertainment lovers where they have to rush into the theatres to watch the film.

Looking at the fruitful outcome of the idea proposed by the Telugu Film Producers Council, the producers' body in Bollywood also asked the OTT platforms to follow the same guidelines. Tollywood's proposal is said to have come into effect already in Bollywood.

When the theatres were closed for almost two years due to Covid, the OTTs filled the gap and served the movie lovers with some interesting and variety of shows and content. The OTT subscribers, who got stuck to the platforms are unable to get out of the fever. Looks like this made the makers take appropriate measures.
