We are well aware of Anjali's sudden disappearance from the limelight due to few family issues, especially after the fallout with her stepmom and the Tamil director.
When asked why she has gone into hiding in a recent interview, Anjali responded: "I haven't disappeared. I faced few problems on personal front and its because of selfishness in few individuals, be it my step-mom or director Kalanjiyum. I can't digest the fact that my family members have cheated me and decided to take a break. That it! I don't why it has become a big issue. My friends and everyone close to me know where I am."
On Godfather: Anjali makes it clear she doesn't have any but claims she relies on few friends in the Industry when she had to take some tough decisions. She, however, admits to be not trusting anyone completelybecause of her past experiences.
On being neither a Top Heroine nor Second-level Heroine: "I don't believe in number game. Which actress scores a hit this week will be the top heroine until another heroine takes her place next week. I have earned so much craze with just 3 films. There were heroines who are yet to make a mark despite appearing in 10 films. I want audience to like my characters, not top or middle or centre positions. They have to remember me forever".
