Whenever someone talks about awards, he will get mixed reactions.  Some people say that they are just manipulated and there are no genuine awards in India but there are others who value awards as the recognition of excellence. Irrespective of all these opinions, Academy Awards have huge respect throughout the globe.

It is known that Film Federation of India has chosen Hindi film 'Newton' as India's official entry to the Oscars this year.  It is a great honour for a small film like 'Newton' because it has beaten films like 'Dangal'.. 'Baahubali 2'.  When director Rajamouli was asked whether he was disappointed for missing official Oscar entry for 'Baahubali 2' in a recent event, he said that he was not disappointed at all.

He said that "When I make a film my aim is to satisfy myself first with the story.  Then I will see that it reaches the maximum number of audience and the investors get their money back.  I never think about awards and it is not my aim.  If my film gets awards I'll be happy, if my film doesn't get awards I don't mind."
