I&B Ministry Permits Theatres To Operate With Full Occupancy

Given the Coronavirus situations, the union government has issued directives to shut the theatres and multiplexes across the nation, pushing the owners towards severe losses.

Under the unlocking guidelines, the government permitted the theatres to resume operations by capping the theatre occupancy to 50 percent.

Now the Information, and Broadcasting Ministry gave a major sigh of relief to the theatre owners and movie buffs by increasing the theatre occupancy from the existing 50 percent.

Several films, including a few big films have locked release dates and will hit the theatres soon. The producers will surely be thrilled with the new announcement.

The new development came days after, the Ministry of Home Affairs annouced that the theatre occupancy will be increased in the country.

In the orders, the Information, and Broadcasting Ministry said that the theatres can operate with full occupancy.The new rules will come into effect from the 1st of February.
 
However, the Ministry has also mentioned that the measures to curb the infections like, maintaining physical distance and wearing a face mask should be strictly followed.
