IIFA Awards: Queen bagged major awards

Kangana Ranaut’s critically acclaimed movie "Queen" bagged the Best Picture, Best Story and Best Performance in a Leading Role - female awards at 16th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.The film competed with other movies like  "2 States", "PK", "Haider", "Highway" and "Mary Kom" for the Best Picture trophy.

Kangana  didn't turn up to collect her trophy for Best Performance in a Leading Role - female so, the film's director received the award on her behalf.In the Leading Role Male category, Shahid Kapoor walked home with the award for his performance in "Haider".

He competed with stars like  Aamir Khan ("PK"), Hrithik Roshan ("Bang Bang!"), and Shah Rukh Khan ("Happy New Year").

Jackie Shroff son Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon win Best Debut Male and Female for "Heropanti".Salman Khan's "Kick" and Priyanka Chopra's "Mary Kom" pick up trophies for Debut Direction.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy win Best Music Direction. "ABCD 2" star Varun Dhawan receives Best Performance in a Comic Role for "Main Tera Hero". Kay Kay Menon's cold portrayal of Khurram Meer in "Haider" got him the Best Performance in a Negative Role award.

Riteish Deshmukh and Tabu grab awards for Best Performance in a Supporting Role Male and Female for "Ek Villain" and "Haider", respectively. The three days event ends with power packed performances of B town stars Hritik and Anushka Sharma.
