Indian Actor To Follow Cricket Legend Ala Hollywood Stars!

Indian actors haven't done things like shadowing a person to play his or her role in a film. Hollywood actors who follow method acting principles, do such practices of living with a person they are going to play on screen to get the part right.

Ranveer Singh who has been following such method actor characteristics for his big roles, is again ready to do so.

The actor took off to a 10 day single holiday to play Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat and again a 15 day holiday without any one to play Murad in Gullyboy. He observed many Mumbai locals during the period it seems.

Now, the actor is taking off to Dharmasala to shadow Kapil Dev for 10 days and live with him to pick his body language.

He took a 40 day cricket coaching with all other cast members of 83, sports film based on 1983 World Cup winning team. In the camp, all the team members participated including Kapil Dev, to show the cast members how to play like them.

Now, as Ranveer Singh needs to play Kapil in real life too, he took the decision to shadow him and Kapil gladly invited him it seems.

The actor said in a statement, ''I'm looking forward to spending more time with Kapil sir. He is kind, generous, warm and funny. I had a memorable two days with him in Dharamsala. I'm going to spend more time with him in Delhi to learn more about him.''

''It's a first of its kind exercise in my acting process where I'll be studying the man himself in the flesh for my on screen portrayal of him. I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to learn about life from a true legend,'' he added. Kabir Khan, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai fame is directing this film.
