No Shootings In 2020?

Update: 2020-07-13 10:30 GMT
This year took off on a grand note with a humongous Sankranti season. Both star heroes Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun delivered super hits with 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' respectively. There were some hit films after that like 'Bheeshma', 'HIT' and a few others. With summer approaching, many big films planned to get released in the holiday season.

But the virus outbreak shattered the plans of everyone. The theatres were forced to shut down and shootings came to a complete halt. Though the government gave permission to restart shootings, filmmakers are afraid to kick-start shootings once again as the number of cases is increasing very rapidly across the country. Even the stars are waiting for the vaccine to come out so that they can start their work again.

As per sources, the vaccine may arrive by 15th August. If not, nobody knows when it may come. With this, the industry bigwigs are suggesting to stop shootings completely in 2020. As each department and craft is linked to one another, there are huge chances of interaction. There is no way one department can work without the help of another. Let us wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. On the whole, 2020 turned out to be a complete nightmare.
