Is Netflix Trying To Do What Rajamouli Pulled Off A Decade Ago?

Update: 2022-06-01 12:21 GMT
Netflix is one of the most popular OTT platforms across the globe. The amount of original content it provides is phenomenal and the Hollywood quality content it has is just huge. But lately, it seems to be running out of ideas as it is coming up with sequels, modern versions of old stories and continuation seasons of its hit shows on regular basis.

Recently, the trailer of an upcoming English film named 'Man Vs Bee' came out and it is getting a lot of good response. 'Mr Bean' Rowan Atkinson is playing the lead in this film which revolves around his fight with a Bee. A few seconds into the trailer, we cannot help but remind ourselves of Rajamouli's super hit movie 'Eega'.

The creative film came back in 2012 with Sudeep as the villain and Samantha as the heroine. Nani is seen in a small but impactful role. The way Eega tortures Sudeep and gets its revenge is the story of Rajamouli's super hit. It was the film that made the name Rajamouli echo across the nation and it was amplified further by 'Baahubali' franchise.

The Telugu audience who watched 'Man Vs Bee' trailer are posting in the comments section that this Hollywood project is totally inspired by Rajamouli's 'Eega'. Though not completely, a couple of scenes definitely remind us of 'Eega' which is replaced by a 'Bee' in the Hollywood flick. This movie comes out on 24th June and let us find out if the similarities can be seen throughout the movie or are they just confined to the trailer.
