Koratala Siva is a director who hasn't tasted a single failure in his career till date. He cracked the formula of making a star hero film with a strong story loaded with mass elements that will make the fans go crazy. He gives a good message along with providing the required entertainment to everyone. Right from his first movie 'Mirchi' to 'Bharat Ane Nenu', he made films that not just pleased fans of star heroes but also satisfy the common audience.
Such a successful director has faltered badly while dealing with a Megastar film. As we all know, 'Acharya' which featured Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role was released on 29th April and it bagged negative response right from the morning shows. Many started wondering if it is really made by Koratala Siva or did someone force his hand.
Inside reports suggest that the storyline of 'Acharya' was heavily tinkered with from what it was at the beginning. Grapevine says that Koratala Siva penned a special character in 'Acharya' that will last for not more than 15 minutes. It was supposed to be done by Mahesh Babu and there was a huge talk surrounding it at that time. Rumors claim that Megastar insisted on getting Ram Charan onboard for the special role of Siddha. With Charan's involvement in the project, Kortala was reportedly forced to make changes in the script and extend the role of Siddha. If we look into the film, Charan's role lasted for a good 45 minutes in the film which explains how the script has been changed for the Mega hero.
According to reports, this made the film quite lengthy and the star director decided to trim Kajal Agarwal's character to cut short the runtime. Rumour mills claim that the initial story got completely changed and this led to a hotchpotch output on the screen. We are not aware if this is true or not but it is a fact that the film is quite disappointing and it is not what we expect from a director of Koratala's caliber.
