In December, last year she died after facing lot of health issues in Apollo hospitals. Her departure has triggered a major succession war in AIADMK party and still, the instability is continuing.

Now, Aditya Bharadwaj, an young filmmaker, announced that he is going to make a biopic on Jayalaltha's life and it will start shooting from February next year.
The film is titled, Thayyi Puratchi Thalaivi and 70% of the shoot will be done in Mumbai. During this schedule, Jayalaltha's early life as an actress will be shot.
Rest of the shoot includes her entry into politics and this will be concluded in Chennai.
