Update: 2019-11-20 06:40 GMT
As it is known, Shahid Kapoor is remaking Nani's 'Jersey' and Goutham Tinnanuri who directed the original is taking care of its remake too. Allu Aravind and Dil Raju are producing this flick along with another Bollywood producer. Shahid is training hard to get into the skin of the character.

The heroine's role is very crucial in this film. Unlike regular commercial heroines, this role has a lot of content and needs an actress who can justify it. Shraddha Srinath did a superb job in the original and the makers are searching for the right girl from a long time. The search finally came to an end as they finalized actress Mrunal Thakur for this role. She proved her acting prowess in content-based films like 'Super 30' and 'Batla House' earlier. She got a good appreciation for her portrayal and the makers of 'Jersey' remake felt that she will be the perfect fit for this role.
Mrunal Thakur is yet to sign the dotted line but is almost confirmed as per sources. All we need to do is wait for the official announcement.
