Post the success of 'Kabir Singh', Bollywood hero Shahid Kapoor decided to remake another super hit Telugu movie and it is 'Jersey'. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, the film was a touching tale of a father who risked his life for his son's wish. Nani did a fantastic job and delivered an award-worthy performance. Shahid Kapoor decided to remake it by roping in the original version's director.
The film kick-started long back and sources say that the entire shooting is completed. The team is waiting for the right time to release which may not happen in the near future. The major revenue for Bollywood theatrical business comes through multiplexes and with the severity of Corona in North and especially in Maharashtra, having a theatrical release is not looking like a bright idea.
Following 'Radhe', the 'Jersey' team is reportedly taking the OTT route and Zee Group is currently interested in buying this film as per sources. Let us wait and see if it happens or not.
