South Indian films are creating a rampage in the Northern market lately and it is a fact. It is not just big-scale movies like 'RRR' and 'KGF - 2' but a regular star hero film with local sensibilities like 'Pushpa' is performing phenomenally nationwide. At a time when Bollywood is finding it tough to bring people towards theatres, South films are pleasing the audience across the nation with their pan-Indian appeal.
Bollywood star hero Abhishek Bachchan however is not accepting the term Pan-Indian film. He said to a leading media outlet that this was a great time for the Indian movie industry. He added that he doesn't classify films based on who they appeal to. He reportedly believes that there are only two films that work and which don't.
He clarified that Bollywood too gave good hits post-lockdown like 'Sooryavanshi' and 'Gangubai Khatiwadi' which got huge collections. Adding to it, he stated that he is happy about the success of South Indian films and people going crazy about them. Abhishek told that he is not sure about calling it a comeback of hero-centric films or larger-than-life movies in Bollywood.
Abhishek was recently seen in 'Dasvi' which had a direct release on Netflix. He has changed his style and started doing concept-oriented films which are getting him a lot of recognition lately.
