On his 59th birthday Thursday, actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan distributed tricycles and sewing machines to some underprivileged people here through a charity programme organised by his fans.
"He spent the day with his fans. In the morning, he met fans who queued up outside his house. Later in the day, he participated in a charity drive and distributed hundreds of tricycles and sewing machines to underprivileged people," Haasan's agent told IANS.
Haasan, with over five decades of experience as an actor, is one of the finest actors in the country. He is currently busy wrapping Tamil spy-thriller "Vishwaroopam 2", sequel to "Vishwaroopam", which released earlier this year.
Kamal recently collaborated with his long-time friend, actor Ramesh Aravind to star in a Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled "Uthama Villain".
