Sri Reddy has grabbed the attention of national media with her semi-naked protest at the Film Chamber. It is known that she has been fighting against the casting couch issue and the denial of opportunities to Telugu actresses. As the issue hogged the limelight of national media, Bollywood star heroine Kangana Ranaut responded to the issue.
She said that "Whenever we are fighting for a cause, the issue should be highlighted but we should not grab the attention. If someone does this kind of protest, there will be not much use as the issue will be sidelined." She felt that Sri Reddy could have chosen some other way of protest rather than stripping her clothes. She accepted that there is casting couch issue in the film industry and she also came across such experiences.
She opined that there are some sensitive people in the industry and they will feel it as an insult.. even though they are suffering they will not come forward to raise their voice because of the path chosen by Sri Reddy. Kangana said that there are several ways of protests and Sri Reddy should choose a right path.
