Kannada Industry's Tribute Becomes Troublesome For 'RRR'!

Update: 2022-01-27 11:33 GMT
Rajamouli's magnum opus movie 'RRR' will be hitting the screens on 18th March if the amount of cases gets reduced. They have announced it officially and the audience are eagerly waiting for this movie. 'Radhe Shyam' featuring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde will also be releasing around that time as per sources. Both these movies are pan-Indian films and Karnataka is a huge market for them.

But the Kannada film industry has taken a decision that is causing a lot of trouble for these two big films. Grapevine suggests that the film fraternity of Kannada decided to pay tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar by not releasing or running any film from 17th March to 24th March. Puneeth's last film 'James' is releasing on 17th March and they decided to screen this film in all screens of Karnataka for one week. They won't be allowing any Kannada film or movies from other languages to release during that time.

While this is a beautiful tribute to Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, films like 'RRR' and 'Radhe Shyam' are going to be effected by this if they release in March.

'RRR' is produced by DVV Danayya over a budget of over 400 crores. SS Rajamouli is aiming to score another industry hit with this multi-starrer and MM Keeravani is the music composer. Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Sita in this film while Ajay Devgn will appear in a brief role. Olivia Morris is also a part of the film. Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, 'RRR' has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others doing key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, 'Radhe Shyam' has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. Prabhas will be seen as a world-renowned palmist in this movie. This movie is produced under UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Arts and T-Series banners. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor for 'Radhe Shyam'. Justin Prabhakaran is the music composer for South Indian languages.
