It is a known fact that the biopics trend is currently going on in Bollywood. Though all the other commercial movies are failing at the box office, the biopics are doing exceptionally well in terms of collections. The makers are eagerly searching for celebrities to make their biopics. We already know that Shradda Kapoor is playing the lead in Badminton star Saina Nehwal's biopic. The makers are already getting ready to start the biopic Indian Women Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj.

Now, one of the Bollywood star directors Karan Johar is planning to do a biopic of a powerful woman who worked in Airforce and recently received a Shourya Chakra Award. She is none other than Gunjan Saxena. One of the first two women combat aviators. During the Kargil War, she evacuated Indian soldiers who are injured and saved their lives. Gunjan came from a soldier's family. Her father and brother also worked for Indian Army. Even Gunjan got married to a pilot in Indian Air Force.

Filmmaker Karan Johar is strongly believing that it would be good to do a biopic on her. The team is currently busy hunting for the female lead. However, as per the sources Karan will just bankroll the film and not planning to helm the project.
