Tamil star hero Dhanush is currently having a dream run at the box-office with his last couple of films like 'Maari 2', 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran' becoming huge hits. To continue his successful run, he joined hands with talented young director Karthik Subbaraj and they made a film titled 'Jagame Thantram'.
Karthik Subbaraj recently released his production venture 'Penguin' on Amazon Prime and made good money out of it. As his upcoming film with Dhanush is finished and waiting for theatres to reopen, he reportedly pitched the idea of having a direct OTT release to Dhanush. This plan of his did not impress Dhanush as he reportedly feels that this film is best suited for big screen and he decided to wait till the theatres reopen again.
The motion poster of 'Jagame Thantram' was released a few months back and it grabbed the interest of many. Karthik Subbaraj is known for his creative filmmaking. He made films like 'Pizza', 'Jigathanda' and 'Petta' earlier. He will be joining hands with Vikram after Dhanush's film hits the screens.
